<h2 style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #993300;">Rollinator (Wheelinator)-Smartphone-Charging-Plug-Clip</span></h2>
<p><img class="aligncenter wp-image-21566" title="Rollinator Smartphone Clip" src="http://www.eigude.de/blog/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/www.eigude.de_IMG_0905c.jpg" alt="" width="344" height="225" /></p>
<p>Ever since I joined the folks on wheels, I carry my mobile phone/smartphone on a lanyard close to my heart ; -)</p>
<p>In the rare event that some cable gets wrapped around the rear wheel of the Wheelchair and therefore vehemently denies me to continue my ride, at least then should there be a phone in range.<br />
I don&#8217;t think I need to elaborate about the extremely modest battery life of smart phones. Of course, the battery should always be full when out in the wild.</p>
<p>With my crooked fingers it takes me an estimated three minutes daily to stick the Micro USB charger in to the phone to be charged. I just realized that in the last three years I have rendered two full days of my life to my cell phone plug&#8230; just great!</p>
<p>The easiest solution to counter this waste of my time appeared to be in the purchase of a cradle charger. Unfortunately, it was not compatible with the leather cover of my phone.<br />
A few years ago I built a holding device for the TV Magazine with just a small metal paper clip. This gave me the idea <a href="http://www.eigude.de/blog/?p=484&#038;lang=en">(see older post).</a></p>
<p><img class=" wp-image-21564 aligncenter" title="Papierklammern" src="http://www.eigude.de/blog/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/www.eigude.de_IMG_0892b.jpg" alt="" width="352" height="239" /></a></p>
<p>The perfect size to hold the Micro USB Plug is 20mm x 10mm x 8mm (0.8“ x 0.4” x 0.3”)</p>
<p><img class="wp-image-21568 aligncenter" title="Power....!!!" src="http://www.eigude.de/blog/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/www.eigude.de_IMG_0912c.jpg" alt="" width="322" height="310" /></a></p>
<p>Attach a small cable tie and you practically get to plug it in without any finger function and daily blood pressure increase. </p>
<p><img class="wp-image-21570 aligncenter" title="Power off....!!!" src="http://www.eigude.de/blog/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/www.eigude.de_IMG_0914c.jpg" alt="" width="325" height="321" /></a></p>
<p>The paper clips (binder clips) can be found on the internet, in the stationery shop or after several days of searching maybe in one of your clutter trays.</p>

<p>One of the biggest difficulties for us quadriplegics is opening screw caps of jars and bottles.</p>
<p>The variant to beat them up with a hammer or to throw the jars and bottles in the easiest way on the floor to open them is working excellently, but proved out to be inefficient in practice after a longer test phase.</p>
<p>I have reported already several times about special openers, <a href="http://www.eigude.de/blog/?tag=offner&#038;lang=en"> (see older blogposts).</a></p>
<p>As self-confessed roamer on websites of the most different online medical supply stores I have found two new models made from silicone. The sunflower bottle opener</p>
<h2 style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #993300;">Model Geniosa</span></h2>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-14696" title="bottle opener" src="http://www.eigude.de/blog/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/Flaschenöffner.jpg" alt="" width="420" height="378" /></a></p>
<p><img src="http://www.eigude.de/blog/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/Mausöffner.jpg" alt="" title="mouse opener" width="420" height="398" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-14698" /></a></p>
<p>is working quite well, but needs getting used to. The</p>
<h2 style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #3366ff;">blue jar opener</span></h2>

<p>I have found a great technical aid to open canned staple food, with fish, instant noodles, goulash soup, wieners, Coke, Bed Rull, beer and cider.</p>
<p>The Canpull opener was awarded with a design prize, the unofficial Oscar for household items of all kind.</p>
<p>One reason more for an extensive Rollinator test as I always had ambivalent feelings towards designer parts. From experience, unfortunately modern appearance and functionality rarely fit together.</p>
<p>This is not the case with the</p>
<h2 align="center"><span style="color: #008000;"><strong>Canpuller and Soda Snap</strong></span></h2>
<p>With one side</p>
<h3 align="center"><span style="color: #008000;"><strong>dog, cat and human food cans </strong></span></h3>
<p><img class="aligncenter wp-image-11893" title="Yummi Laggi-Chili" src="http://www.eigude.de/blog/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/IMG_2248c.jpg" alt="" width="371" height="384" /></p>
<p><img class="aligncenter wp-image-11894" title="Yummi yummi Laggi" src="http://www.eigude.de/blog/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/IMG_2249-c.jpg" alt="" width="371" height="273" /></p>
<p>can be opened tetra easily.</p>
<p>A small plastic nose clicks into the ring-pull of the can so that the Canpuller doesn’t slip off when it is bent for opening. This is working without problems.</p>
<p>Unfortunately the Canpuller doesn’t help against the burning lips if three chilli peppers are displayed on the “devil’s goulash” can. I am currently a little handicapped.</p>
<p>The other side of the award winner is suitable to open beverage cans in record time.</p>
<p>Thus you can pass an opened can of Prosecco to your colleague even after the eight successful test series with hop blossom ice tea cans of which the content was professionally disposed into the gorge.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter wp-image-11895" title="Never again... 2nd League...!!!" src="http://www.eigude.de/blog/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/IMG_2383b.jpg" alt="" width="388" height="420" /></p>
<p><img class="aligncenter wp-image-11896" title="Ex...!!!" src="http://www.eigude.de/blog/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/IMG_2391c.jpg" alt="" width="383" height="456" /></p>
<p><iframe width="500" height="281" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/AnSMAAI5MSo?feature=oembed" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe></p>
<p>This can opener is a well-thought-out and functional technical aid.</p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><em>Source of Supply: <a href="http://www.desicare.de">http://www.desicare.de</a></em></span></p>

<p><span style="color: #800000;"><em>Half a steering fork had to be deducted because manual hands-on is still necessary. </em></span></p>

<p>The market for technical aids is huge.</p>
<p>There is almost everything you can imagine in the broadest sense. The problem is not only that this stuff is unreasonably expensive, but also apparently nobody has ever tested it.</p>
<p>The Taiwanese fabricate a basically ingenious key holder, like a Suisse Army Knife.<br />
This can be found in almost every catalogue for technical aids.<br />
Because of its size the key holder can be grasped even with limited finger functions. If the key is stuck in the lock the holder is bent by 90° so that you can open the lock due to the big lever with your “little finger”!!!</p>
<p><strong><span style="color: #800000;">Attention:</span></strong> If someone else wants to open a door with your key holder please point out to him that a key can be broken off quickly with this technical aid.</p>
<p>The bad thing is that our European keys are a little thicker than the Asian ones and therefore don’t fit in. Such technical aids disappear in the cupboard, like the food processer from the home shopping channel. I have adjusted my</p>
<h2 style="text-align: center;"><strong><span style="color: #000080;">Key holder </span></strong></h2>
<p style="text-align: center;"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-3750" title="Great and simple!" src="http://www.eigude.de/blog/wp-content/uploads/2010/10/IMG_8849b.jpg" alt="" width="480" height="320" /></p>
<p>accordingly (filed the slots and provided with a longer screw), and I am using it daily.</p>
<p><em><span style="color: #993300;">Last year on the rehab fair I have pointed out this deficit to the Taiwanese. Yesterday I was at the Rehacare in Düsseldorf, but I didn’t see the key holder any more. </span></em></p>
